History of Wilton School

The Wilton story began in 1929 with one man’s passion and talent for making confectionery art. Dewey McKinley Wilton created The Wilton School and developed a method of dessert decorating that reached beyond professional bakers to households around the world. These aspiring bakers and decorators all come to The Wilton School for the same reason: to learn from the world’s most trusted brand in decorating.

The Future Looks Sweet!

The Wilton School is temporarily closed as we undergo a transformation. Based on feedback from our students and passionate fans, we’ve been inspired to evolve to better serve our local and global community. We are extremely proud of our long history and thank you for your continued support and patience as we bring this new vision to life. Over the next several months, The Wilton School will undertake a metamorphosis allowing us to grow stronger for a sustainable future at an international level – we will reopen in 2024 with a refreshed look and curriculum.
